Have you ever thought your dog was the greatest dog in the world? I often think that of my dog, Suchin, my beautiful silver TRD. I loved her from the first moment I saw her and just knew she was special the second I looked into her eyes...
She also has this way of making you laugh just by giving you a certain look. She does however have her bad moments, and loves to recycle the garbage bin, she can be sassy too, but whenever my friends come over, She loves to show off, and act silly to get attention.
Suchin is a very smart girl and has taught herself to do many things. As soon as she was big enough in size she learnt how to open all the doors in the house. She also quickly learnt how to open the food cupboard where her treats where stored. So now I have to have baby catches on all the cupboards. But one of the sweetest things she does that she taught herself is bring my slippers to the door when she hears me coming home. She loves to see me put my slipper's on, because she then knows Mummy will be staying home and not going out until I put my outdoor shoes on...
She also gives all my visitors our shoes when they come to the door, as if to say come in and stay for a while, all my friends find this really funny and think my dog is great, and really clever to teach herself to do this, so they all love her.
Well, one day I had a visit from a friend who does not like dogs. She hates all dogs. So when she came to visit I had to keep Suchin away from my friend. At first I put Suchin into the other room, but Suchin soon opened the door and came to where my friend and I was sitting. My friend jumped up and started protesting loudly trying to keep Suchin away from her, by waving her hands and shouting at my dog. I quickly grabbed Suchin, and put her out side again.
A few moments later Suchin was back in the room, but this time with my friends shoes in her mouth!! She walked over to where my friend was sitting and dropped the shoes at her feet. Then promptly came and sat down besides me.!!! I sat there amazed thinking to myself, is my dog trying to tell my friend to go? by getting her shoes? Or was she thinking because others thought this was sweet my friend would like her too? I don't know. Are dogs really so smart? I think they are. DonnaUK
